Children's ministry
Currently, the Sunday School is not running. However, children are welcome to sit in our services with their parents.
There is a creche room available for parents with babies and toddlers to listen to the preaching while their children play.
Our Pastor
Pastor William Comstock is a native of Alabama and a graduate of Luther Rice Theological Seminary (MDiv). He has served in the ministry since 1988 in various capacities and has planted and pastored churches in Nebraska and Oregon.
He was born again at the age of 19 in 1987. He and his wife, Amy (who was born again in 1988), were married in 1991. They have 7 children and 13 grandchildren (thus far). They have grateful hearts to the Lord for blessing them with a wonderful family.
Pastor Comstock also feels extremely blessed and honoured by the Lord to be pastor of the Skelmersdale Baptist Church. The congregation of Skelmersdale Baptist Church has a genuine love for the Word of God and have a passion to win the lost to Christ. Pastor Comstock is a strong believer that the preaching of the Word of God changes lives, and a gospel-focused church is the most important institution in our broken, hurting, sinful world.
He enjoys reading, gardening, being outdoors, Alabama College football, and spending time with his grandchildren.
